SCP-Related Questions
Which SCP are you applying for?:
SCP-8974-A "Greed"
In your own words, describe this SCP. (100 words minimum):
SCP-8974-A is a drake-like creature that believes it is a powerful adult dragon. It is obsessed with collecting treasure and expanding what it considers its hoard/treasury. SCP-8974 can magically enchant people, causing them to see it as a mighty dragon and serve it without question. These affected individuals will help gather treasure, defend SCP-8974, and obey its wishes. Greed values gold above all else, though it can sometimes be convinced that ordinary objects are valuable through roleplay and conversation. During breaches or walks, SCP-8974-A focuses on obtaining treasure rather than causing destruction, but it can become aggressive if denied riches or deceived. It is heavily armored, resistant to gunfire, and prefers wealth over combat whenever possible.
What object class is this SCP?:
Keter
How is the SCP maintained?:
Greed is maintained by providing it with treasure, preferably gold bars. Staff can also convince it that certain ordinary objects are valuable through roleplay. If these attempts fail, Scp-8974-A may attempt to enchant nearby individuals and turn them into servants. The value of these riches cannot be lower than 5k and cannot exceed 15k. SCP-8974-A can also be let out to gather treasure on its own, but it must not exceed its limit of 10 treasures, gaining +2 additional capacity per enchanted minion assisting it.
How does this SCP breach? What are their procedures?:
SCP-8974-A breaches by leaving its cell and immediately seeking out valuables to add to its hoard. If no treasure is found within approximately 5 minutes, it will begin attempting to enchant nearby individuals through a CHA roll, up to a maximum of 5 minions, with a cooldown of 2 minutes between attempts. These enchanted individuals will assist in locating and carrying treasure for it, giving it +2 carrying capacity per minion, with a base limit of 10 treasures. If SCP-8974-A goes 10 minutes without acquiring any treasure, it becomes increasingly aggressive and will attack any non-minions while continuing its search. During breaches, it will listen to all offers of treasure and generally prioritize the highest value offer, with gold bars always being considered the most valuable form of tribute.
How does this SCP be recontained?
SCP-8974-A can be recontained once it has collected enough treasure, after which it will willingly return to its containment cell along with any enchanted minions. Alternatively, it can be convinced to return by offering promised valuables, as long as proof of the transaction is provided. If the promise is truthful, SCP-8974-A will comply and return to containment. If it is lied to, it will become hostile and may re-breach while seeking more treasure.
Can this SCP be terminated? If yes, how so?
No. SCP-8974-A has no listed termination procedure and is highly resistant to conventional weaponry due to its scales
In order of true or false, state the following that applies to this SCP. Does it fear for its life? Can it open doors? Can it breach other SCPs? Can it enter D-Block?:
