  1. You must be at least 14 years old before creating a moderator application. 13-year-olds who have played for a long time and feel they demonstrate exceptional maturity difference greater than that of their age can get permission from a member of SMT to apply.
  2. You must have read the entirety of the Staff Handbook.
  3. You must have at least more than 1 day on the server before applying.
  4. You may not bump your application, Your application will be looked at within at least a week and the most 2 weeks.
  5. Do not ask friends, and acquaintances to +1 your application. If this is found out, Your application will be denied.
  6. Don't lie in your application, be transparent. If you are found lying in your application, It will be denied.
  7. When creating your application, you must answer all the questions listed within the application format.
  8. If you're accepted into the staff team, you're expected to be active on TeamSpeak whenever on the server, as this is how we communicate with other staff members and the rest of the community.

Why do you want to join the staff team? (200 Words Minimum)


I want to join staff because this is something that would bring me the most joy here. To be apart of the staff to help out the community i enjoy so much. I want to be that person that people look to for help or to determine if something was within rules. I want to fill a bigger role on the server that I keep logging in to or coming back to. I really enjoy helping people out and feel that my pass experience would help me in this role. When I joined this server I loved how nice everyone especially the staff which makes me want to be apart of that role. I was part of the staff and i missed that, I want to come back and fill that role once more. I have always enjoyed being part of staff or admin role in other servers that I was apart of so i would like to do that here at zenith as well. I kind of look like it as being the cop for a small town, You do it because you love doing it and not just for the authority. I know my ability to handle situations would be very beneficial for staff here at zenith.


Why should we accept you into the staff team?


I personally believe why I should be accepted would be because how I handle situations, I'm a very nice person and when someone breaks a rule I don't hand out punishments immediately because I believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance, That and everyone makes mistakes. we are human. People need to be molded and not just hit them with the book.


What staffing experience do you currently have?


I have experiences on Conan exiles as admin and I made it to SM on zenith


Rule-based Questions Section
Define RDM:

Random Death Match, this is where a person would kill another without any RP related reason. A good example would be, A gensec members opens fire on foundation member for no reason which resulted in their death


Define Metagame:

Metagame is where you use information that is not normally available for the IC. A good example, Someone using the player list to tell if someone is prending to be someone else. Like using it to identify a scout or mimic


Define NLR:

New life Rule, It the rule that is used within game. It is when a player dies they forget everything that happened before they was killed. An example, You are killed by a D-class as a gensec. When you respawn you are not to remember who killed you or that they have a weapon.


Define FailRP:

Failed RP would be doing something that would go against the RP that is currently occurring. A good example would be, failing to follow fear RP. In real life if people srounded you with their wepons drawn, then you would show no fear and fight anyways. This is a fail because in real life you would be scared for your life.


Situation-based Questions Section

Player “X” reports player “Y” for RDM, the logs show that player “Y” did kill player “X”, both players are GenSec trainees. Player “X” states that there was no reason for him to be killed, player “Y” states that they were in an argument, player “X” made a nasty remark and player “Y” killed him for it. Neither party has a recording of the interaction, and no witnesses have come forward with any more information, what would you do?

Logs would be the proof to show that the RDM. With the evidences on hand Player Y did committed RDP so they would have to get a warning for breaking that rule. However I would also talk with X and tell them that it was clamed that they made a nasty remark. I would talk to player X about the remark and just let them know try not to make the remark again. If time permit I would spectate both players to see if any more issues are happing.


Player “A” reports player “B” for saying a racial slur, player “A” is uploading evidence, but it is taking a few moments. During this time, player “B” admits he used the slang term towards another player on the server. After receiving the video, you notice that player “B” in fact did say in it a greeting manor and not a confrontational manner. How would you handle this sit?

Racial or hate-focused speech is not tolerated on the server. Since the player admitted that it happened, it would result in a quick judgment. Even though player B admitted to it they would still have to be issued a warning because that behavior cant be allowed. I would also talk to the player and why they cant say that kind of things.

We understand that sometimes we say things that we don’t mean but sometimes it hurts others’ feeling. We must educate to help prevent it from happing again.
