I want to make my character be apart of Three portlands but more closely with Prometheus labs. I plan on having my character be more tech savvy while still having him applied to the anomalous world. I plan to have him as a member of Prometheus labs that joined The Foundation to understand anomalies, while still doing the things he loves such as tinkering with technology and helping out elsewhere around site in the process. I want to make a character with a rather interesting backstory that could be developed throughout the SCPRP server’s lifespan.
So, to clarify what I want out of my character known as Gordon Freeman, I want him to be a member (or ex-member) of Prometheus labs that had him work out of Three portlands so he was aware of anomalous stuff, on top of some important things that he had to work on as one of the technical researchers within the group. He is meant to be based off of the actual Half-life games, but with a twist of bringing it to the SCP universe for people to enjoy and to potentially bring in another GOI for the rest of the server to learn about.
But yes, Gordon Freeman is a man who was once a normal tech guy that happened to get a job at prometheus labs. He did really well to get to a comfortable point within the organization before he had to leave by one means or another. After Prometheus Labs he worked solo for a while, tinkering and just overall being secluded and working on mostly normal stuff with minor anomalous projects here and there for work. This was all for various people that ended up catching the attention of the SCP foundation where he was asked to be hired and eventually joined.
How will this RP App assist in your own Roleplay?: This will assist in my roleplay cause I have stuff to talk about, make my character more interesting than what I did with Jailbreak who doesn’t have a true backstory outside of what he did within the Foundation. If its allowed, I can talk about times where the character made various trinkets that helped with minor things, or be seen as a relatively good technical nerd that people could rely on more than others since the Site Staff job isn’t all that popular with the people on the SCP-RP server..
Do you intend to develop this roleplay long-term? What does that look like in your eyes?: I do intend to develop this longterm and I hope to have Gordon Freeman work on big projects that are potentially anomalous in nature for the SCP Foundation (or CI if they find out and take him). If allowed, he could potentially be the key in making more Scranton Reality Anchors,
How will this RP affect others in Roleplay (If it doesn’t affect others, please note it here)?:
It doesn’t necessarily affect others if other people aren’t interested in hearing about the tales from Gordon. It is the kind of thing where information is dangerous and could either get him hurt, or someone else hurt. But it could prove to be beneficial in helping the various branches with certain jobs that is only for those who need to know and so on.
How will you handle obtaining OOC consent from other players before involving their characters in situations related to your roleplay?: I’ll invite any kind of interest in my character’s RP. If someone is interested, I’ll interact with them to the best of my ability.
