Why do you want to join the staff team? (200 Words Minimum)
I want to be very honest; I do really like this SCP roleplay server and want to give back towards the ZP community and stopping any form of fail roleplay, minging, and making sure everyone’s experience is well suited and enjoying their time on the server itself. As I have played on the ZP SCP-RP server, a majority of people regardless of age, background, or intent to roleplay have been nothing but positive to my experience. I’ve been playing Garry’s Mod roleplay servers for over almost 10 years, as I have near 3,000 hours alone on Garry’s Mod. I’d love to further indulge in this community and see what it can offer.
Another reason why I’d like to join comes from helping individuals that are either brand new on the server, or those who might need guidance in certain areas. Having staff privileges is no laughing or joking matter, it requires maturity and respect since you have to enforce the rules which I would like to do for ZP SCP-RP. My intent is to overall make sure everyone is playing fairly, responsibly, and respectfully since this server welcomes anyone regardless of race, sex, or identification in and out of roleplay.
Why should we accept you into the staff team?
Accepting me on the staff team will benefit the server with an active trial moderator who will prove their worth over time and will start immediately, if accepted. My tone is very calm and collected; I look at the situation, look at the rulebook if needed, and if any assistance is needed, I will have no issue getting a higher up. This is what makes me a prime candidate for the staff team, as I have no embarrassment asking questions when and where needed.
If I do something wrong, I’ll immediately admit if I'm in the wrong and take the punishment required if need. Everyone does mess up, including me, but it’s what we do after that shows everyone you’ve learned from your mistakes. I’m one of these people, a majority of staff applicants I’d assume on forums say they’ll be the best, that’s impossible but I will do the best I absolutely can.
If I am accepted, I promise you will get an individual who’s mature, capable, and honest about anything asked on the server or in general which will prove to be reliable on the staff team to get the job done.
What staffing experience do you currently have?
I do have staffing experience on Garry’s Mod SCP-RP from GamingLight, now shutdown, as I reached moderator.
Unfortunately, due to me being in secondary school, I didn’t have time to continue this, however, this was over 7 years ago to this date.
Rule-based Questions Section
Define RDM:
Random Death Match (RDM) entails killing an individual in game for no apparent reason. An example would be the obvious GenSec SIT or Private killing another team member. There is not valid roleplay response for this, which a punishment must be given depending on the situation.
Define Metagame:
Metagaming is the ability of knowing information you should not be knowing as that character. Let’s give an example, a mimic takes over someone in the foundation. A player immediately presses tab and look to see the Mimic is an NU-7 PFC, the player will now capture the NU-7 PFC and state they’re a mimic. This is metagaming, as they cannot assume they’re a Mimic unless ID checkpoints state otherwise and regular ID Checkpoints with both having to roll over a certain amount by the Mimic.
Define NLR:
New Life Rule (NLR) is when your character dies in game as has to wait 120 seconds within there bunks before leaving. However, the character has no memory of their death and needs to proceed like nothing has happened. Furthermore, if theirs an on-going raid and the foundation or CI member is killed, they must not return on the raid is done and needs to stay in their bunks. After 20 minutes they are able to leave their own bunks.
Define FailRP:
Fail-Roleplay is the following, having actions being done that are not realistic, like a medic cutting off your arm due to a bullet hitting a vital spot during combat and still firing your assault rifle. This is a wild example but stems from obviously making sure the scenario you are in is realistic for everyone around you.
Situation-based Questions Section
Player “X” reports player “Y” for RDM... what would you do?
The first task I’d do is bring both players into this sit and hear both of their stories, by Player X and Player Y. The next would be to check logs and see if Player Y did in fact kill player X. Since each sit is different, there needs to be communication on what actually occurred from everyone involved if proof cannot be given. Since both players are obviously upset, giving them both a verbal first warning is the right course of action, as their GenSec trainee’s and are new to the server without hopefully any other past warnings, they’re still figuring out what’s allowed and not. I would explain the RDM rule to Player Y and explain to Player X about being respectful over voice chat or text. If they both don’t listen, I will give warnings for RDM and disrespecting fellow role-players if it occurs again.
Player “A” reports player “B” for saying a racial slur... how would you handle this?
I will need to wait for Player A uploading the evidence against Player B. If Player A does upload proof, even after Player B stated he did in fact admitted to the racist remark, I will waste no time. I will act immediately to warn the Player B. There is no space for racism on this server, regardless of if it’s not direct in a manner of hostility. This is a respectful environment and everyone needs to be treated accordingly with respect.
