Maya had been returned to Site-66 earlier through some back room dealings. In the process, though, she ended up afflicted with an anomalous torture weapon. It had been the worst experience of her life without question. She was reaching a boiling point now, and as such, a Psychiatric Evaluation was in order.​

It didn't take long for the people of Site-66 to notice how Maya was affected by her run-in with the Sarkics. As barbaric as the Sarkics may be, it isn't common for people's personalities to change so drastically following capture. Perhaps there was something happening beneath the surface, beneath the mask that Maya wore in front of others. Perhaps only Maya truly knew what was happening to her. Or perhaps, she was just as clueless.​
