Journal Entry... 101.
"It's been a while since I thought about this guy. A couple months, give or take. It's only been a day since I got transferred here - that here being Site-66. But, before... and, I'm not sure which site - to be fully honest, I can't remember... I think that got scrubbed as well after the transfer. Regardless... I remembered him. Matthew Johns... He'd always talk about his family, brother and sister, mother and father. About... what he'd do, and how much he'd give to have them back, even if only for a second, to say 'goodbye'. They weren't just your average joes either, it turned out... His father, mother, he told me they both worked for the Foundation, same as him, his brother, and sister. He didn't talk Much, but when he did, he said it with gumption, heart. Every word he said I think you could just know that he meant it, and believed it, without a shadow of doubt. Now, I've got no way of knowing if what any of what he said was true, but... I'd like to call Matthew a friend. At least, for a while. This transfer really fucked me over but... 'No' wasn't an option on the table, and now I'm stuck here. Hell, maybe I'll see him again, but.- I doubt it. I felt bad for the guy too... I mean- I can't relate per say, but. I can't imagine having your family, your only family, in a place like this could ever be easy. A part of me doesn't envy him though. I know I probably won't ever have that kind of connection with anyone. At least - one that runs so deep. And, it's probably for the best too. Right?
