Why do you want to join the staff team? (200 Words Minimum)

Personally, It's only recently I've gotten 'into' the community, trying to get to know more people, talk more etc. and I have fell in love so fast. Everyone here is genuinely really amazing, and the server is something unique that I have never seen before but it hits so many things to perfectly. I want to be able to play my part in helping the server grow and develop while creating a space where new players aren't punished for not knowing something, but helping everyone that wants to join get used to the rules and help give them a foothold with what I believe to be a little bit of a complicated entry for the server. I also want to develop myself more in the community, being able to meet more amazing people and work with some of the people behind the scenes that are instrumental in making this project work to hopefully help myself grow as a player, but also community member. Additionally, I'm hoping to be able to remain in the community for quite a long while, and I'm here I fully intend to do my part in contributing, such as role-playing to the best of my ability, assisting new players where possible, and just trying to make everyone feel welcome, like their more then just a character in a server but someone that matters in the whole community, and in the story ZP is ultimately creating.

Why should we accept you into the staff team?

I feel there is a couple of reasons as to why I should be given a chance at the staff team. Firstly, I like to think i'm very professional and mature when handling situations, whether in character or out of character. I always approach a situation with the mentality of "Both sides have the right to defend their claim", and always remove all bias when handling an out of character affair, this I believe is a very strong trait of mine, as this means when handling reports, and other tickets, I'll be able to look at the evidence provided, and gather both sides of the story while acting in a way that favors neither party, and be able to justify every decision made with a reason and actionable evidence.

Secondly, I feel I've been putting forward an extremely good image of myself towards the server, being nice and meeting plenty of new people, and I'm hoping I can just further this goal of giving everyone a good interaction with someone while being in the staff team, giving people making reports an experience that they can count on later on in their experience to handle a situation properly, and be able to have someone approachable with questions, concerns, and anything else they may need.

What staffing experience do you currently have?

Unfortunately none, This would be my first GMOD Staffing experience.

Rule-based Questions Section
Define RDM:

RDM, or Random Deathmatch, is the act of killing another player with a valid RP Reason. IE. GENSEC PVT kills another GENSEC PVT for no reason.

Define Metagame:

Metagaming is the act of using out of character information in an in-character way. IE. using someone saying CI will raid in OOC Chat as in character information and acting on it. This also applies to any non-IC sources of information that your character in RP would not logically have access to.

Define NLR:

NLR, or New Life Rule, basically states that when you die, you forget everything from your previous life, and can not leave your bunks for a set amount of time (Depending on whether or not a raid is active). IE. You overhear that D-001 has a gun, then die to any valid source (SCP, CI, etc.) Then you are not permitted to return from bunks and apprehend D-001 for having a weapon, as you have not gathered the information in the life you are currently in.

Define FailRP:

FailRP is the act of doing something/performing actions that wouldnt make sense in Role-Play, or intentionally disrupting the Role-play of other players. IE. It would be failRP to go /me does 57 backflips from a standing position, as this is unreasonable and unrealistic, or it would also be FailRP to go around trolling other players, disrupting their Role-Play.

Situation-based Questions Section

Player “X” reports player “Y” for RDM, the logs show that player “Y” did kill player “X”, both players are GenSec trainees. Player “X” states that there was no reason for him to be killed, player “Y” states that they were in an argument, player “X” made a nasty remark and player “Y” killed him for it. Neither party has a recording of the interaction, and no witnesses have come forward with any more information, what would you do?

First thing I would do after gathering this information, is pull Player "Y" and ensure the story is correct, having him confirm the details that he killed Player "X" due to an argument/nasty remark. Once he does, I'd inform him of the RDM Rule, and would likely give them a warning, as they are a newer player and likely not fully used to the rules (This is assuming they have no Prior Offenses, which would be checked beforehand). I'd give them a brief description of the RDM rule, and examples of what are and aren't

valid RP reasons to kill someone.

Player “A” reports player “B” for saying a racial slur, player “A” is uploading evidence, but it is taking a few moments. During this time, player “B” admits he used the slang term towards another player on the server. After receiving the video, you notice that player “B” in fact did say in it a greeting manor and not a confrontational manner. How would you handle this sit?

Considering the slur is racial, whether or not the context is positive or negative
, slurs are not permitted on the server. I would pull player "B" and inform them of this, and give them the proper punishment according to the handbook, while communicating this to a higher member of staff.
