Applicant Rules:

  1. You must be at least 14 years old before creating a moderator application. 13-year-olds who have played for a long time and feel they demonstrate exceptional maturity difference greater than that of their age can get permission from a member of SMT to apply.
  2. You must have read the entirety of the Staff Handbook.
  3. You must have at least more than 1 day on the server before applying.
  4. You may not bump your application, Your application will be looked at within at least a week and the most 2 weeks.
  5. Do not ask friends, and acquaintances to +1 your application. If this is found out, Your application will be denied.
  6. Don't lie in your application, be transparent. If you are found lying in your application, It will be denied.
  7. When creating your application, you must answer all the questions listed within the application format.
  8. If you're accepted into the staff team, you're expected to be active on TeamSpeak whenever on the server, as this is how we communicate with other staff members and the rest of the community.

Why do you want to join the staff team? (200 Words Minimum)


I want to join the staff because I really enjoy this spot within the community. You can kind of look at it like being the cop of a small town. You bring peace to the community while also being part of that same community. I joined this server and just love it and nothing would bring me the most joy than being part of the staff that helps ensure this community fair for all the players. I really love coming on the server and want to play a bigger role within the whole community than just my role in GenSec. I have always enjoyed being the role of admin within other games so I would like to move this enjoyment here. Not only to gmod but to the server that I enjoy login on all the time. I would also like to be something others can look up to and help them become future staff members. I know my ability to handle these issues and would love to use this here with this community. Since I have experience in other servers and in discord, I believe that I would make for a good staff member here. I am a very open-minded person and would like to use this skill here.

Why should we accept you into the staff team?


I personally believe why I should be accepted would be because how I handle situations, I’m the kind of person that listens to both sides and take all claims into account, I don’t assume the worse of people. No matter who makes the ticket I can look at it with a middle ground POV. to ensure a fair evaluation of the incident. A side bonus I'm a nice person so this can help defuse a problem or promote a healthy conversation. I never let anger or annoyance get to me.


What staffing experience do you currently have?


I do have experience as being admin for a few discord servers and Conan Exiles RP server.

My time at Conan Exiles RP server RDM was a issue that happened often due the nature of the game, 100% of the time it was new players.


Rule-based Questions Section
Define RDM:

Random Death Match, this is where a person would kill another without any RP related reason. A good example would be, 1 GenSec running to a random player within sight and starts opening fire. resulting in the random player to be kill for no reason.


Define Metagame:

Metagame is where you use information that is not normally available for the IC. A good example would be using the leader board to tell if a player is a scout or not. IC does not have access to all players within the site so as such, IC shouldn't know if said player is legit or not.


Define NLR:

New life Rule, It the rule that is used within game. It is when a player dies they forget everything that happened before they was killed. If you were killed by a d-class, you forget who did it and where it happened. Also, you are on a timer and must stay in your respawn location until the timer is up.


Define FailRP:

Failed RP would be doing something that would go against the RP that is currently occurring. A good example would be failed fear RP, this would be like when you get surrounded by armed attackers (3-4) and they tell you to put your hands up. Instead of putting your hands up you try to fight them off. That would be considered failed RP because in real life, if something like that happened to you, you would surrender.


Situation-based Questions Section

Player “X” reports player “Y” for RDM, the logs show that player “Y” did kill player “X”, both players are GenSec trainees. Player “X” states that there was no reason for him to be killed, player “Y” states that they were in an argument, player “X” made a nasty remark and player “Y” killed him for it. Neither party has a recording of the interaction, and no witnesses have come forward with any more information, what would you do?

Logs would be the source of proof that this has happened, based on the logs it would point to me that this killing did indeed happen. Even though player "X" might of made a nasty remark there is lack of proof. Based on the evidence on hand Player "Y" still RDM Player "X". Player "Y" would get a warning for RDM. I would explain to them why they got the warning. Later that evening, if time permits it I would check up on Player "Y" to see if any other incentives occurred.


Player “A” reports player “B” for saying a racial slur, player “A” is uploading evidence, but it is taking a few moments. During this time, player “B” admits he used the slang term towards another player on the server. After receiving the video, you notice that player “B” in fact did say in it a greeting manor and not a confrontational manner. How would you handle this sit?

Racial or hate-focused speech is not tolerated on the server. Due to player "B" admitting to the incident then it would be a quick verdict to give the player a warning. I would explain to the player why they got the warning and I understand that they didn't mean to cause any harm. Just inform them how others would take it, educate the player can help prevent it from happing in the future.

We understand that sometimes we say things that we don’t mean but sometimes it hurts others’ feeling. We must educate to help prevent it from happing again.
