Why do you want to join the staff team? (200 Words Minimum)
I would like to join the staff team because I want to be able to teach new players how to play, teach them how to roleplay, with a bit of combat while also trying to teach them the rules. I also have been on the staff team before and only got kicked off because I wasn't able to get onto the server due to issues with my computer, but i have fixed my computer and would like to join once again. I also love to help out anyway I can, so if there's anything I can help out with, as long as I'm not at work, I am free to do whatever. I am normally on all the time so if anything happens in the morning, I can try to take care of it or let someone higher ranking know what happened. My greatest qualities according to others is leadership and being able to help out when needed as well as I am a great listener and can figure out what is needed to be done sort of quick, but sometimes I do need help, but I like to try and figure it out myself, but if I can't figure it out then I will ask for help. If there are any questions, please let me know
Why should we accept you into the staff team?
I am a great listener and can figure out what need to be done quickly
What staffing experience do you currently have?
I used to be on the staff team as well as I have dealt with some problems in GENSEC as a SFC
Rule-based Questions Section
Define RDM: The killing of another player for no in-character reason, this applies to things such as OOC arguments, going around randomly killing people / scps for no reason, and specifically killing any group/class of players for (again) no IC reason. IC Reasons (to an extent) shift the issue into IA or other IC management staffs judgement.
Define Metagame: Metagaming is the use of OOC knowledge applied in game, this can vary from smaller issues like calling someone a name their character shouldn't reasonably know, ie. calling the CI Commander by their real name while being a Gensec Enlisted. To larger offenses like using ooc knowledge to take important data or interrupt a kidnapping when you only know the information due to an ooc message (for example).
Define NLR: NLR is the act of leaving spawn before your two minute timer is up and either entering combat or RP, as well as using knowledge gained before you died after you respawn. It's worth noting that you can still remember SOME things from your past life depending on if the information was shared or not and other factors.
Define FailRP: FailRP is the act of ignoring what your character or the SCP you are currently playing as should or would do, on a character basis this is very flexible since only the player knows their character fully. Still, a Character is expected to have a reason to do things like betraying their faction or killing their peers/supervisors. In the case of premade characters like SCPs and Lore Characters you are expected to follow a reasonable characterization, ie. Killing as SCP-682 when Unenraged and Unprovoked or speaking as a Non-Verbal SCP

Situation-based Questions Section
Player “X” reports player “Y” for RDM, the logs show that player “Y” did kill player “X”, both players are GenSec trainees. Player “X” states that there was no reason for him to be killed, player “Y” states that they were in an argument, player “X” made a nasty remark and player “Y” killed him for it. Neither party has a recording of the interaction, and no witnesses have come forward with any more information, what would you do? It would depend on if it was In Character or Out of Character, as if "X" made the argument and insulted player "Y" causing "Y" to kill "X" then it would be up to how the roleplay played out, and then it would be considered in character and brought up with IA If it was OOC then i would try to figure out why it happened and try to calm the situation down and let them know, without a recording I can't do much, but if it escalates then I will deal with it as needed whether warning both members verbally or an actual warning. |

Player “A” reports player “B” for saying a racial slur, player “A” is uploading evidence, but it is taking a few moments. During this time, player “B” admits he used the slang term towards another player on the server. After receiving the video, you notice that player “B” in fact did say in it a greeting manor and not a confrontational manner. How would you handle this sit? I would talk to player "B" and let them know that slurs are not allowed in the server and let him off with a verbal warning, while i tell player "A" that they didn't mean anything rude by it and that i told player "B" not to do it again. |
