Why do you want to join the staff team? (200 Words Minimum)
As a member of the community I often see a lot of tickets go unseen for a while, especially on the tail ends of player activity, I know from personal experience how annoying this tends to be for players, especially when it's something like a Stuck ticket or someone going on an MRDM spree and I'd like to help out with handling this sort of issue to give players as good of an experience as possible. I also generally just like to help others out since I know how stressful it can be on other staff members to have to deal with a lot of tickets and players for not having their issues heard.
Apart from wanting to offer a hand on Tickets and helping out players I'd like to have my voice carry a little bit more weight in the functioning and the changes on the server, there are a lot of issues and changes I believe my input could help patch or bring attention to.
Probably the largest reason I'd like to join the staff team is because it lets me be much more involved in the community, I get to speak to more people, learn more about them, help organize things, and generally let them feel more welcome. I personally love the server and how goofy and narratively solid it can be and I'd love to see it develop further.
Why should we accept you into the staff team?
Despite my relatively goofy demeanor I do have a solid amount of perceptiveness and consider myself to be a very just person. I prefer to be as kind to people as I can be and allow people to explain themselves, but I do not let that make my judgement softer, I allow people to grow from their mistakes but I do not let them go free whenever they do anything wrong.
Apart from how I'd handle judging tickets, I'm also willing to learn and change as a person, I am inherently self-reflective and will update myself very quickly if I learn I'm making frequent mistakes or handling myself and my actions towards others poorly.

Define RDM: The killing of another player for no in-character reason, this applies to things such as OOC arguments, going around randomly killing people / scps for no reason, and specifically killing any group/class of players for (again) no IC reason. IC Reasons (to an extent) shift the issue into IA or other IC management staffs judgement.
Define Metagame: Metagaming is the use of OOC knowledge applied in game, this can vary from smaller issues like calling someone a name their character shouldn't reasonably know, ie. calling the CI Commander by their real name while being a Gensec Enlisted. To larger offenses like using ooc knowledge to take important data or interrupt a kidnapping when you only know the information due to an ooc message (for example).
Define NLR: NLR is the act of leaving spawn before your two minute timer is up and either entering combat or RP, as well as using knowledge gained before you died after you respawn. It's worth noting that you can still remember SOME things from your past life depending on if the information was shared or not and other factors.
Define FailRP: FailRP is the act of ignoring what your character or the SCP you are currently playing as should or would do, on a character basis this is very flexible since only the player knows their character fully. Still, a Character is expected to have a reason to do things like betraying their faction or killing their peers/supervisors. In the case of premade characters like SCPs and Lore Characters you are expected to follow a reasonable characterization, ie. Killing as SCP-682 when Unenraged and Unprovoked or speaking as a Non-Verbal SCP

Player “X” reports player “Y” for RDM, the logs show that player “Y” did kill player “X”, both players are GenSec trainees. Player “X” states that there was no reason for him to be killed, player “Y” states that they were in an argument, player “X” made a nasty remark and player “Y” killed him for it. Neither party has a recording of the interaction, and no witnesses have come forward with any more information, what would you do? The outcome depends mostly on whether or not the interaction was IC or OOC, if X had the argument and made the insult in character and Y shot him, it's mostly up to roleplay, let IA handle it if they were spotted and reported by someone else. If the Argument & Insult happened OOC or was reasonably out of character then nothing can be done at the moment due to the interaction not having recordings nor witnesses coming forward but Y should still be spectated for a while in case he does something similar in the future and be monitored for if he has another ticket made against him by a different person, since this'll show a pattern as evidence in the next ticket. |

Player “A” reports player “B” for saying a racial slur, player “A” is uploading evidence, but it is taking a few moments. During this time, player “B” admits he used the slang term towards another player on the server. After receiving the video, you notice that player “B” in fact did say in it a greeting manor and not a confrontational manner. How would you handle this sit? Racial slurs are not accepted on the server, and even if the slur was not used in a derogatory manner it is still a bannable offense, Assuming player B was not lying, Player B should be given a Introductory warning for it if it's their first time doing this and have the reason for the warning explained, or be given a 3 Day ban if it isn't. |
