[Brief Contagion Description]
This unknown airborne pathogen exhibits extremely contagious, and aggressive spreading tactics. If exposed to the contagion without proper protection equipment, one can expect to violently vomit blood and flatline on a rapid timescale.

[Interaction Log]
On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, the arrival of MTF Beta-7 'Maz Hatters' on Site-73 were suspected to be the source of a contagious disease contaminating a considerable portion of the Medical Wing. After being assigned to the task of collecting information from SCP-049 when given a contaminated Beta-7 Operative's corpse to examine, I was quickly briefed on the situation at hand by Medical LT 'Phoenix'.

Three corpses were prepped and sealed in airtight body-bags, with one destined for transport to SCP-049's containment cell. As we were organizing a security team to safely and securely transfer the body from the quarantine zone in Medbay, we were informed that SCP-049 suddenly breached containment. SCP-049 subsequently found his way to the quarantine zone on his own volition. SCP-049 was initially being uncooperative with security personnel, apparently searching for someone in particular who was very sick and was set out to provide 'treatment'. As reinforcements were trickling into the quarantine zone, I was able to reason with 049 by explaining that we were just on our way to transport one of the bodies before him for his professional opinion but were simply caught unawares by his unexpected departure from his cell.

SCP-049 seemed to sympathize and agreed to conduct his examination of the corpses right then and there. Considering the possible logistic issues with transporting an infected body throughout the site to Heavy Containment Zone, this unexpected arrival to the already cordoned off quarantine zone with multiple guns trained on the doctor proved to be an acceptable environment to proceed with the experiment.

SCP-049 almost immediately commented on how the disease was familiar to him after analyzing one of the corpses, and later stated that he's seen the contagion before roughly 100-200 years ago while visiting a minimally populated kingdom in modern day France. 049 did not know of, or have a name for the disease, however claiming that he could cure it. The doctor obliged to provide a list of cure ingredients, warning that the Foundation might not have access to a few of the substances listed.

And with that, the examination was concluded, and SCP-049 was escorted back to his cell without incident.

[Potential Cure Materials]
The following substances were provided by SCP-049 as ingredients for a cure of the unknown contagion.
- Xenoeuronics
- Anti-Biotics
- Robitussion
- Yailinourin
- Brackin
- Pontimilin

Note: Medical LT 'Phoenix' stated that an experimental "cocktail" of adrenaline and anti-biotics effectively cured the ASD of the contagion, adding on that it seems to only work if the disease is caught very early-on within the subject.

[Additional]
This situation under normal circumstances would typically call for SCP-049 to be escorted back to his cell to perform the examination, however this particular wing of Medical Bay was extremely secured due to the enacted quarantine. For the record, my knowledge of the disease itself is quite minimal considering I was assigned to this study almost immediately after arriving on-site.
