[Test]
Discover if an individual is capable of resisting SCP-966's ability to put a subject into REM sleep to a higher degree when given Modafinil, an anti-sleeping agent used to treat extreme sleepiness due to narcolepsy or other disorders. Two D-Class would be given a Modafinil tablet, and individually exposed to SCP-966. The results could prove helpful to decreasing the number of personnel casualties sustained in the event of a 966 breach.

[Hypothesis]
The Modafinil tablets will prove to have a moderate effect in decreasing the effectiveness of SCP-966's soundwaves, though I expect both D-Class subjects will be lost as SCP-966's sleep inducing frequencies are extremely potent.

[Equipment]
- Several Thermal Goggles
- 1 bottle of Modafinil tablets
- SCP-966 Containment Cell thermal imaging camera
- 1 Notepad & Pen

{AUDIO RECORDING START}

"Good evening authorized viewers, Dr. Blue recording this report at roughly 11:45pm, 2/20/23. All procedures involving security and the obtaining of D-Class subjects went swimmingly for this test, and no personnel casualties were sustained at the end of the day.

The first D-Class given modafinil sent inside SCP-966's containment cell, was unable to resist the sleep-inducing frequencies from 966, resulting in the D-Class's termination. However, when the second D-Class given modafinil was sent inside, was capable of staying awake and was extracted from the cell alive. The D-Class when interviewed stated; 'Before the test I felt tired, but afterward I was pretty awake.' Implying that the drug was able to interfere with 966's ability to a certain degree. The D-Class was later amnesticized and sent back to D-Block population.

Modafinil proved to be occasionally effective, but inconsistent at best. I would highly recommend abstaining from using this drug in its current state, as a preventative measure against SCP-966. Dr. Blue signing off."
{AUDIO END}

[Additional]
A potential variant of Modafinil could prove to be effective and might hold some merit to look into with further endeavors.
