Checkup done on: LP 'Oasis'

Checkup Information:
Patient data
  • Eyes were healthy and unaffected, and vision was ideal.
  • Patient responded without hearing obstruction.
  • Reflex testing on joints returned optimal results, and patient was fully alert.
  • Patient had minor bruises and abrasions as result of a fall from a potentially concerning height.
  • Breathing was quickened, but oxygen was not depleted after oxygen mask treatment
  • Blood pressure was slightly heightened, but not abnormal.
  • Heart rate was very quickened as a response to the incident involving the fall
  • Body temperature was normal
Actions taken:
Patient had a few extra tests conducted on him. These were as follows:
  • Blood draw and testing
  • X-ray and MRI scan
  • EKG and EEG to track vitals and brain activity
The only irregularity besides heightened heart rate and breathing was the presence of very minor nerve damage in the thalamus region of the brain.

Things to look out for

Use an MRI to look for an increase in the scope or severity of damage to the thalamus or surrounding regions of the brain. Look for any symptoms of damage to the thalamus in the brain. These can include:
  • Amnesia
  • Issues with sensory processing
  • Chronic pain
  • Loss of interest (apathy)
  • Lack of ability to understand or speak language
More severe symptoms include:
  • Sleep disorders
  • Coma
  • Jumbled words or meaningless speech (thalamic aphasia)
  • Vision problems
  • etc.
IMPORTANT: If any new symptoms appear, treat them with care and urgency.
